SDMO was established in 1966 in Brest, France and is today the third biggest producer of generating sets in the world, in 2016 SDMO was renamed KOHLER SDMO expanding its operation to include engine manufacturing, these engines being used in a new range of generators over 700kVA using Kohler engines. The company moved its head office into new premises in the close vicinity of its Kergaradec plant. Aside from this they also produce a large range of portable products suitable for a variety of applications including, generator, welders, water pumps and power take offs.
